For this year’s installment, as SIAL ASEAN-Manila boasts a total of 350 exhibitors from 15 countries, it expects to surpass its previous records and looks to welcome at least 10,000 visitors from 40 countries as it partners with associations like DOT, TPB, BFAR, and DTI Region 10 & 11. The food exhibition will serve as a global business hub for both local and foreign industry players to network among themselves and conduct B2B opportunities.

Apart from potentially providing excellent ROI, gathering top quality buyers under one roof, and allowing for a unique real-life “market test” opportunity as exhibitors conduct presentations and demos, SIAL prides itself as a champion of sustainable development.

Naturally, SIAL has made it a point to highlight exhibitors that live out SIAL’s theme of “Sustainable, responsible and fair-trade products and approaches”. Also, SIAL has taken active measures to ensure that it is not a burden to the environment and instead a force which gives back rather than one that takes away.

As a proud Red Cross partner, excess products and resources from each SIAL exposition are turned over to the Red Cross for redistribution to underprivileged communities. SIAL has also teamed up with the SARIA group to organise the treatment and recycling of each event’s organic waste.

Meanwhile, other serious efforts to imbibe sustainability include lessening carbon footprints from travelling by promoting carpooling, taxi pooling, and free shuttle services. Moreover, SIAL’s sustainable efforts extend to its smart use of technology as it uses E-Badges during assembly period, dematerialisation of documents, as well as recycling of used event materials.
