It has been a year since the first-ever ASEAN leg of the Salon International de I’Agroalimentaire or SIAL ASEAN was held in the Philippines but the success continues to reverberate throughout the industry as it enjoys a more globally connected network. More than anything, it was merely the beginning of something bigger and greater to come.
True enough, this season marks the launch of the second installment of SIAL ASEAN. Happening on June 17 to 19 at the World Trade Center Manila, the world’s largest food innovation observatory will once again gather the key players in the industry and thousands of professionals looking to explore, discover, and gather fresh new insights and sumptuous industry trends.
Bound to be tastier and more delectable than the last, SIAL ASEAN gears up to deliver a bigger and bolder exposition as it sizes with 350 exhibitors from 19 countries and an expected visitor count of 10,000 from 40 different nations.
In addition, visitors look forward to SIAL ASEAN’s exciting line up of event highlights. But this year, SIAL ASEAN shakes things up by introducing a new pocket event. From compelling product displays and live demonstrations through La Cuisine by SIAL, to the international pavilions, wine tasting booth, and SIAL Innovation Awards, SIAL ASEAN adds more flavor to its mix as it introduces the first-ever SIAL World Tour.
A key event based in SIAL Paris, World Tour by SIAL is a window to the world of the food trade made possible with the help of 28 magazine titles, which will provide a unique agrifood map from their respective countries. The ultimate goal is to identify trends in food consumption in 28 main food markets in the world over 5 continents.
From Australia to Canada, from Brazil to Russia, the United States, India, and China, World Tour by SIAL’s press partners include publications such as the South African Food Review, Germany’s Rundschau Fur Den Lebensmittelhandel, Australia’s Retail World, Belgium’s Gondola, Canada’s Canadian Grocer, Hungary’s Trade Magazin, and Ireland’s Checkout among others.
The result of SIAL and the 28 magazine titles is a literal window to the world of retail and consumption trends on a global level in the form of an exhibit area of over 500m2. Complete with in-store photographs and outlooks available to visitors, World Tour by SIAL is a well-curated exhibit by the crème de la crème of the world’s food journalists and it is the first time that it will be transported in the country from Paris.
As gastronomic an experience SIAL ASEAN is, the three-day food exhibition goes beyond expectations as it proves to be the most comprehensive B2B food exposition that aims to deliver only the best that the food industry has to offer.
